Red cotton check gingam shirt in 18th century style
Mans shirt in vintage dark red/cream check cotton gingham. Good for pirates or for the US Civil War reenactment. Or just a great shirt for men or women – any occasion.
Cloth more substantial than a fine modern cotton gingham. This is a narrow, vintage fabric less than a metre in wide, woven sometime between 1930 and 1970. From the mid-18th century gingham like this was produced in the mills of Manchester, and cheaply available for working people to wear.
The shirt pulls on over the head and fastens with small buttons at collar, front and on cuffs. The gingham is nice to wear, robust and washes well.
The garment comes in the following sizes, all generously proportioned:
|Shirt measures cross front||25”||27.5”||27.5”||30”||35”|
